Residential Solar Rebates

Solar Thermal

The rebates will be determined by the usable annual thermal output, in MMBtus, of the system
The rebate rates will be:

• Residential projects: $275/MMBtu
• Commercial (for-profit) projects: $450/MMBtu
• Commercial (government and not-for-profit): $550/MMBtu

These rates should make solar thermal projects even more attractive, economically. The higher rates for commercial projects are intended to compensate for the additional costs of compliance with the federal requirements associated with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which is funding the Solar Thermal Program.
